Abu Zeid, clothing merchant, Syrian refugee from Daraa in Jordan. (photographed 2012)
The two weeks that Abu Zeid spent in the Military Intelligence barracks in Daraa are engraved in his flesh. With his left hand, there remains only a stuffed stump and two pieces of finger sewn with a fat thread.
They blindfolded me and placed a small explosive device in my hand. When I felt the blood flowing on my feet, I understood, and I fainted.
